Job summary

Responsibilities include precepting students or new staff, monitoring responses, and maintaining equipment. NBRC credentials and a state license are required; RRT preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a respiratory therapy or related field.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state of practice.
• NBRC credentialed; RRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and document findings in the medical record.
• Perform respiratory therapy treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Educate patients and families on therapy procedures and devices.
• Monitor patient response and adjust therapy as needed.
• Maintain and prepare Respiratory Therapy equipment.
• Assist with bronchoscopy or tracheostomy as required.
