As a contractor with Golden Years Services, we will provide training, systems, and support to help you succeed. This is a highly rewarding opportunity, but you must be a self-starter! Business hours are flexible, based on client needs, and may include evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
We emphasize professionalism, appropriate attire, punctuality, and strong communication skills. Our team has over 28 years of combined experience in the senior living industry, offering valuable guidance and knowledge.
Our services are free to families because the communities we work with pay us a fee for successful placements. Most residents we assist stay long-term because we take the time to understand their full situation and find the perfect home.
Because we work closely with seniors and their families, candidates should not have visible tattoos, face piercings (besides ears), or non-natural hair colors.
The contracted agent acts as a Senior Specialist, advising older adults and their families on housing and senior resource options. Our goal is to help seniors live independently while maintaining quality of life and access to supportive services. We assist clients in understanding their options related to senior living, finances, and retirement.
The agent will assess clients' ability to live independently and provide suitable options, such as assisted living, memory care, personal care homes, independent living, or nursing homes.
This position does not include a salary; you must be able to sustain yourself financially for 3-6 months until commissions begin to generate income. Candidates should have personal savings or a partner who can support household expenses during this period.
The process starts with client assessments over the phone or in person, focusing on needs, budget, and location preferences. The agent discusses options with clients, schedules tours, and helps complete necessary paperwork, including medical forms and arranging moves through resources like senior moving companies, home care providers, and legal or medical professionals. Agents may also support clients wishing to age in place by providing relevant resources. As you grow in the role, your knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, senior housing, and retirement options will expand to better serve clients and families.
