AMERICAN ELECTRIC POWER is seeking a Resource Planning Analyst Principal to lead inputs and analyses for Integrated Resource Plans and related regulatory filings. You will manage model inputs, perform production cost and resource optimization studies, and develop testimony for regulatory proceedings.

You will collaborate with regulatory staff and internal teams, leveraging tools like energy planning platforms and programming skills to advance portfolio optimization and risk analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an analytical field such as engineering, mathematics, computer science, or business.
• 3 years as Resource Planning Analyst Sr or 9 years related resource planning experience.
• Advanced degree in an analytical field may count as two years of experience.
• Experience with regulatory proceedings and RTO/regulatory rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inputs to production cost and resource optimization models.
• Analyze outputs from detailed models for IRPs, RFPs, and filings.
• Collaborate with state regulatory staff and stakeholders on IRP issues.
• Present findings to management and participate in RTO groups.
