Job summary

Equinox Gold is seeking a Senior Resource Geologist to lead mineral resource estimation, geological modeling, QA/QC, and reporting to support exploration, project evaluation, feasibility studies, and mine planning, primarily for the South Railroad Project, with potential work at Castle Mountain and Mesquite in California.

The role provides technical leadership in resource geology, directs independent Qualified Person consultants, and ensures compliance with NI 43-101 and SK 1300.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology or related field.
• 10+ years in geologic and resource modeling.
• Expertise in Leapfrog Geo or similar software for 3D geological and resource modeling.
• Competent in at least one geostatistical estimation platform for variography, estimation, and model validation.
• Strong understanding of geostatistics and estimation techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Close attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update 3D geological domain models and resource block models.
• Direct the technical scope and review of independent Qualified Person consultants.
• Collaborate with exploration, engineering and technical services teams for resource conversion and mine planning.
• Provide resource model inputs for prefeasibility and feasibility studies.
• Upload drillhole data and produce monthly QA/QC reports.
• Develop resource models for corporate M&A and due diligence.
