Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking a Principal Resource Geologist in the Americas with 15–20+ years in minerals exploration and resource estimation. You will lead geological modelling, block-model construction, and NI 43-101 reporting, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results.

You’ll mentor junior geologists, manage client engagements, and contribute to strategic service line growth while upholding safety and QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
• 15–20+ years of minerals exploration, operation, and resource estimation.
• Experience with geostatistics and estimation methods (e.g., ordinary kriging, IDW).
• Proficiency with 3D mine modelling software (Leapfrog, Vulcan, MinePlan, Datamine, MicroMine).
• Authorship of NI 43-101 or CRIRSCO-standard reports preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop geological models or interpretations.
• Construct block models for resource and reserve estimates.
• Prepare NI 43-101 reports or international equivalents.
• Perform due diligence for project financing and M&A.
• Lead geologists and coordinate with third-party groups.
• Integrate geological findings with other disciplines.
• Ensure health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction.
• Prepare proposals and support service-line and client development plans.
• Build client relationships and deliver excellent service.
• Mentor junior geologists and support training.
