Job summary

Barrick in Elko, NV is seeking a Senior Resource Geologist to support identification and advancement of exploration opportunities across its portfolio, including desktop and field evaluations, data compilation, geological modeling, and target generation.

The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to exploration strategies, and shaping projects through Life-of-mine stages; requires BS in Geology and 10 years mining geology experience, with Carlin-type deposits and

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or equivalent experience required.
Ten years' mining geology experience preferred.
Six years' experience in a team environment preferred.
Experience in Carlin-type deposits preferred.
Strong computer skills in geological modeling software required.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this position required.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance to staff, contract personnel and core techs as needed.
Guide staff performance and skills development.
Design, budget, coordinate and execute drill programs; engage associated personnel.
Liaise with Resource and Database teams; identify opportunity.
Liaise with Operations groups to ensure projects sync with LOM plans.
Liaise with Safety and Environmental personnel to ensure compliance.
Provide input and support to Life-of-mine and project study work.
Prepare reports, presentations and technical reviews as required.
Foster strong safety culture.
Manage projects as delegated by supervisor; perform other duties as assigned.
