Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive geological experience in gold mining or exploration.
• Experience in active mining operations, underground and/or surface.
• Strong understanding of economic and structural geology.
• Experience with ore control, grade control, mapping, core logging, sampling.
• Experience interpreting drill results and geological datasets.
• Proficiency with geological modeling, databases, and mine planning software.
• Strong writing, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with mine operations, engineering, environmental teams.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet mine site access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level geological support to active gold mining operations.
• Conduct and oversee geological mapping, sampling, logging, and interpretation activities.
• Support ore control programs, including grade control drilling, sampling, interpretation, and reconciliation.
• Interpret drill data, lithology, alteration, and mineralization for mine planning and production decisions.
• Develop and maintain geological models and databases using industry-standard software.
• Assist with resource estimation, reserve development, and geological modeling activities.
• Collaborate with mine engineering and operations to integrate geological interpretations into plans.
• Monitor geological conditions and provide recommendations to support operational decisions.
• Review and validate geological and assay data for quality and integrity.
• Coordinate with drilling and sampling teams to ensure proper data collection and QC procedures.
• Participate in underground and surface mapping and inspections as required.
• Identify geological risks and opportunities impacting planning or resource development.
• Contribute to short- and long-term mine planning through geological input.
• Prepare geological reports, maps, cross-sections, and presentations.
• Support resource and reserve reporting per industry standards and procedures.
• Mentor junior geologists and technicians.
• Maintain safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance.
