Job summary

Barrick Mining Corporation seeks a Principal Resource Modeler to lead best-practice modeling and estimation workflows with regional subject matter experts. You will ensure block models, estimation methodologies, and classification approaches meet corporate standards for technical reporting and disclosure.

The role involves leading risk reviews, improving resource estimation processes, and mentoring site teams while collaborating across geology, metallurgy, and mine planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years’ experience in geostatistics or resource modeling.
• Expert knowledge in practical resource estimation with a strong geostatistical foundation.
• Experience with RMSP, Leapfrog, acQuire; Deswik and Datamine preferred.
• Eligible to be a Qualified Person under NI 43-101.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; teamwork and communication.
• Commitment to safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality resource modeling and estimation workflows with regional SMEs.
• Ensure compliance with NI 43-101 and S-K 1300 regulatory guidelines.
• Evaluate grade estimation methodologies and interpolation approaches.
• Review classification criteria and drill spacing for resource estimates.
• Provide feedback to site geology teams on interpretations and domaining strategies.
• Deliver monthly reports on modeling priorities, milestones, risks, and opportunities.
• Deliver training on estimation and model validation workflows.
