Job summary

Barrick is seeking a Senior Geologist for the Fourmile Project in Nevada to lead a team of geologists and drive mineral resource growth. You will oversee data collection, logging, sampling, and 3D modeling to support PFS/PEA studies and ensure safe, data-driven decision making.

You will mentor staff, coordinate cross‑functional collaboration, and design drilling programs that advance resource conversion targets while maintaining vigorous QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Geology or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years underground mine geology or exploration experience preferred.
• Experience leading technical teams and interdepartmental collaboration preferred.
• Familiarity with Leapfrog, Deswik, Vulcan, Acquire software preferred.
• Strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Drive zero-harm safety leadership and implement safety programs.
• Supervise, mentor, and coach geologists with development plans.
• Build relationships with Engineering, Operations, Process, Environment, Growth, Exploration, Safety and Finance.
• Own and execute infill, growth and exploration drill programs to grow resource base.
• Integrate ore body knowledge into 3D geologic models and section interpretations.
• Develop training plans and drive best practices for the team.
• Monitor QA/QC and ensure compliance with sampling protocols; review SOPs.
• Engage with the resource team to deliver accurate mineral resource estimations.
• Oversee drilling proposals, cost estimates and expenditure requests.
• Assist in creation of the MRM budget and tracking spend.
• Support integration of orebody knowledge across the business.
• Input into annual business plans and assess risk/opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs to meet drilling, cost and ounce delivery targets.
• Identify areas for improvement and drive change management.
