Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or related field required.
• Master's Degree or PhD in related field preferred.
• Minimum 8 years progressive experience with emphasis in exploration, mineral economics, and leadership required.
• Strong foundation in geology, exploration procedures, business acumen, and commercial skills required.
• Ability to work in a team with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Broad knowledge of geology across multiple terranes.
• Broad experience across gold and copper deposit types.
• Experience with targeting tools including geophysical, geochemical, remote sensing, and geologic field methods required.
• Ability to develop complex 3D geologic models using Leapfrog required.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in ArcGIS and Microsoft Office required.
• Excellent data and business analysis skills required.
• Ability to deliver concise technical and business-focused presentations and reports required.
• Organized, self-starter with high standards required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required.

Responsibilities

• Generate, develop, and lead exploration programs across the exploration pipeline, focusing on Project Generation and Target Delineation.
• Execute and supervise field-based exploration programs with safe data collection and compliance.
• Evaluate properties and advanced exploration projects for Tier 1 gold and/or copper opportunities.
• Prepare internal and external written reports and presentations in English and Spanish.
• Ensure timely delivery of technical information per Geoinformatics standards.
• Coordinate with Exploration Manager/Chief Geologist for training needs.
• Coordinate with Sustainability for Health & Safety, Environmental, and Community relations procedures.
• Obtain all required permits on time to support exploration programs.
• Promote dissemination of geoscience knowledge within the team.
• Coordinate with HR on recruitment, performance, and development activities.
