Job summary

Kinterra Design Build in the Denver Metro Area, CO is seeking a Superintendent with residential remodeling experience to own field operations and keep projects moving. The role coordinates subcontractors, manages scheduling, monitors workmanship, and maintains a safe, organized job site while communicating with homeowners and leadership.

The successful candidate will be organized, decisive in the field, and able to translate plans into actionable steps for crews.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in residential construction, remodeling, field supervision, or a comparable role.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing day-to-day job-site activities.
• Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing, materials, and building methods.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of applicable building codes, permitting requirements, and job-site safety practices.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across active projects.
• Good judgment and practical problem-solving skills, including the ability to make timely decisions in the field.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to hold trade partners accountable professionally.
• Reliable follow-through, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Comfortable working in a growing business where processes may continue to evolve.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations and coordinate subcontractors, trades, deliveries, and material availability.
• Keep projects on schedule by monitoring progress and identifying potential delays.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure readiness for upcoming work.
• Inspect workmanship and address deficiencies before progress.
• Make sound day-to-day decisions and escalate significant concerns with solutions.
• Work from plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Coordinate material needs, deliveries, and site readiness to minimize downtime.
• Promote safe, organized, and clean job sites throughout construction.
• Communicate project status and decisions to leadership.
• Support the client experience with professionalism in occupied homes.
• Keep accurate records of site progress, issues, and updates.
