Job summary

The Mental Health Association - Western MA seeks a Residential Program Supervisor to lead staff, empower participants toward independence, and promote community integration. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating with nursing, DDS, families, and external providers; maintaining documentation; budgeting; and participating in on-call

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; driving record required.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience with mental health/ID/DD/autism.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong organizational and time management.
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, basic computer).
• MAP, CPR, and First Aid certifications required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and support residential staff to promote autonomy and compliance.
• Engage residents in daily living activities and monitor well-being.
• Conduct supervision meetings; monitor attendance and outcomes.
• Oversee documentation and regulatory compliance; manage records.
• Respond to medical/psychiatric emergencies and notify leadership.
• Coordinate communication among nursing, DDS, clinical teams, families, and providers.
• Manage timesheets, reports, and on-call rotation; document actions.
• Collaborate with HR for hiring, scheduling, and staffing levels.
• Manage program budgets and participant funds per policy.
• Guide staff in advocacy, medical coordination, and crisis prevention.
• Monitor medication administration and MAP-related training.
