Job summary

People Inc. in West Seneca, NY is seeking a Management/Supervisor to provide leadership for residential programs. You will supervise Direct Care staff and collaborate with the Medical Coordinator and RN to ensure high-quality, compliant care in a safe living environment.

The role requires coordinating staffing, training, and communications across sites, with on-site evenings, overnights, and weekends. A driver’s license and SCIP-R certification are needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Human Services or related field and 1 year of experience.
• Completion of and/or enrollment in agency Management Training.
• Valid Driver’s License that meets agency policy.
• Lifting requirement of 35 lbs.
• SCIP-R certification as per regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to meet physical requirements (standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing).
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals manually and mechanically as required by program/plan.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from individuals, staff, regulatory agencies or community members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop Direct Care staff.
• Ensure residential program quality and regulatory compliance; prepare for external reviews and surveys.
• Collaborate with the Medical Coordinator and RN to ensure high-quality medical care and support.
• Oversee staffing activities to meet individuals’ needs and service requirements.
• Provide training and ongoing staff development to improve quality of care.
• Maintain effective, timely communication across all program settings.
• Lead relationships with persons served, families, advocates, employees and community.
• Manage site budgets and ensure financial accountability; conduct audits of personal accounts.

Education
