Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning in Florida is seeking a Residential HVAC Estimator to lead estimating operations across branches in a fast-paced production-builder setting. This onsite role requires collaboration with operations, purchasing, and executive leadership to ensure accurate bids and profitable projects.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of residential HVAC estimating, deep knowledge of heat load calculations, duct design, and equipment selection, plus advanced Excel skills

Qualifications

• 7+ years residential HVAC estimating experience (production builder experience strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, duct design, equipment selection, and load calculations.
• Proven experience supporting high-volume builder environments.
• Solid financial and cost-analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel skills; estimating software experience required.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC estimating for production and custom residential projects.
• Establish and maintain standardized estimating processes, templates, and pricing models.
• Review and validate bids for scope accuracy, code compliance, and profitability.
• Support branch teams in meeting builder bid deadlines.
• Coordinate and review HVAC load calculations and system designs.
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead assumptions to protect margin.
• Mentor and support estimating staff across branches.
• Serve as a technical and pricing resource to operations and leadership.
• Assist with strategic pricing, value engineering, and builder negotiations.
