Job summary

Vista Care in Wisconsin seeks a Residential Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations at assigned locations. You will mentor DSP staff, ensure quality care, and coordinate staffing under the Residential Manager.

Responsibilities include training, medication handling oversight, and adherence to policies to maintain a safe, compliant environment. You will manage staff performance, conduct inspections, and support the nursing team with medication distribution when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year+ experience as a caregiver or direct support professional preferred.
• Experience in residential services and working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• One year+ experience as a direct supervisor or manager of others preferred.
• Strong decision-making, independence, and task prioritization.
• Excellent interpersonal and professional conduct, with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned residential locations during scheduled shifts.
• Provide mentorship, training, and skills assessments for DSP staff.
• Monitor medication handling in partnership with the quality team and participate in QI initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to driving policies and coordinate vehicle maintenance and operations.
• Provide corrective action, coaching, and supervision in collaboration with the Residential Manager and HR.
• Assist nursing staff with medication distribution as needed.
• Coordinate staffing plans with scheduling for assigned residences.
• Conduct regular training and ISPs/BSPs reviews, ensuring medical and behavioral needs are met.
• Handle onboarding of new DSPs and uphold safety, confidentiality, and professional standards.
• Maintain supplies, conduct monthly inspections, and oversee crisis intervention and debriefs.
