Job summary

Sekisui House U.S., Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to oversee day-to-day residential construction activities within a community or phase, ensuring schedule, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

You will coordinate trade partners, field staff, inspectors, and vendors with accountability and autonomy on site. You will lead trade partners, ensure adherence to plans, manage documentation, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with sales and customer relations to resolve issues and keep

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant residential construction or field management experience at a Superintendent level.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; or 6-8 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience managing multiple homes or production schedules simultaneously.
• Ability to manage trade partners and coordinate multiple workstreams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and jobsite compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee residential construction operations for assigned homes, phases, or communities, maintaining accountability for schedule, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Direct and supervise trade partners and subcontractors, holding them accountable for performance, quality, safety, and adherence to scopes of work.
• Inspect and approve completed work to ensure compliance with construction documents, company standards, and applicable building codes.
• Enforce OSHA requirements, company safety programs, and environmental standards, taking corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate and manage municipal inspections, approvals, and Certificates of Occupancy.
• Proactively monitor construction progress, anticipate risks or delays, and adjust sequencing or resources to maintain production targets.
• Own the accuracy and timeliness of jobsite documentation, schedules, inspection records, and reporting.
• Lead homeowner orientations and directly resolve construction-related issues in coordination with sales and customer relations.
• Provide training and mentorship to Superintendent I staff and other field personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
