SouthState Bank seeks an experienced Residential Construction Inspection Specialist to oversee loans from closing through completion, ensuring compliance with lending guidelines and insurance policies. You will coordinate with borrowers, builders, and internal teams to monitor progress and disbursements.

The role requires extensive knowledge of residential mortgage lending and construction, strong communication, and the ability to resolve disputes and manage risk across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred.
• 10 years’ experience in residential mortgage lending or residential construction.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending and residential construction terminology.

Responsabilités

• Review and manage residential construction loans from closing through project completion.
• Audit appraisals and house plans to ensure plans meet specs.
• Monitor construction phases, materials and supply chain delays.
• Create schedule of values (SOV) for fund disbursements.
• Coordinate communications between borrowers, builders, and internal teams.
• Identify and resolve lien issues and legal disputes.
• Monitor loan portfolio to minimize risk.
• Research municipal requirements for smooth construction.
