Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a detail-oriented loan closing professional to process and coordinate consumer loan closings across multiple loan types. The role involves reviewing complex documentation, ensuring regulatory and internal policy compliance, and coordinating with closing agents and dealers to deliver accurate settlements.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively with Lending staff and clients, and maintain strict timelines is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma.
• 1–3 years of consumer loan documentation experience.
• Experience with real estate closing transactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process consumer loan closing requests including HELOCs, TRID, manufactured homes with/without land, dealer manufactured homes, dealer marine, and modifications.
• Review loan approvals, supporting documentation and HMDA eligibility, flood determinations, title work, insurance, HUD/Closing Statements and disclosures.
• Coordinate with Lending staff, Closing Agents and Dealers to address documentation deficiencies or issues prior to closing; escalate when needed.
• Prepare closing documents in LaserPro and deliver to Closing Agent, Dealer and/or Lender; review settlement statements.
• Ensure SLAs for loan closing requests are met to provide excellent customer service.
• Initiate wires, ACHs, deposits in DDA accounts or official checks after rescission period when applicable.
• Monitor workload and track progress of loan closing requests in the workflow.
