Qualifications

• Four-year degree, CCUE Certification, or associate degree via the NC-CTP program.
• Minimum 5 years of mortgage lending experience including at least 2 years in residential construction lending.
• Knowledge of residential construction lending practices, project risk assessment, mortgage regulations, and construction loan administration.
• Must communicate in English fluently and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Independently evaluates complex residential construction projects by analyzing contracts, plans, specs, budgets, and feasibility.
• Identifies and mitigates construction risks to support sound underwriting decisions and regulatory compliance.
• Perform comprehensive builder due diligence, evaluate financial strength, licensing, insurance, and ongoing eligibility for program participation; approve within delegated authority.
• Assist members, builders, and staff by answering questions about the construction loan program and procedures; resolve escalated issues.
• Oversee complex construction loan administration activities, including draw approvals, funding authorization, inspection review, and servicing setup; ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and lead opportunities to improve construction lending processes, controls, and member experience; propose policy/procedure improvements; lead testing of new systems; mentor junior staff.
