Job summary

Remington & Vernick Engineers seeks a NICET IV/Resident Engineer Certified Professional to manage heavy highway and bridge construction projects. The role includes project records, meeting minutes, and client liaison duties with NJDOT, NJTA, DRPA, and DRJTBC exposure.

Expect leadership of a 3+ person CM/CI team and CPM scheduling coordination. The candidate should have a civil engineering or construction management degree, 8+ years of experience, and licensure as a PE or NICET IV.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil/bridge construction
• 3+ years on projects $10M or greater
• Familiar with NJDOT specifications and documentation practices
• Must be a licensed professional engineer or NICET IV in Highway Construction Inspection
• CPM scheduling experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Act as Resident Engineer, manage a 3+ CM/CI staff and liaise with Contractor
• Coordinate with engineers and infrastructure authorities on federal, state, regional projects
• Conduct field inspection to ensure work follows contract documents
• Inform public about upcoming work and coordinate with contractor to minimize disruptions
• Maintain project records, submittals, RFIs, daily reports and payment reviews
• Prepare final punch list at substantial completion and assist in closeout
