Job summary

Remington & Vernick Engineers is seeking a NICET Certified Professional (or equivalent) with expertise in heavy highway, intersection improvements, and bridge rehab projects. The role includes record-keeping, measuring quantities, and generating daily inspection reports for projects with NJDOT and county agencies.

The candidate will act as Lead Inspector, coordinate with engineers and clients, and prepare daily reports and payment applications.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.
• Experience with field inspection and record keeping is preferred.
• Familiar with civil construction documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as Lead Inspector for field supervision and inspection of work.
• Collaborate with engineers and authorities on infrastructure projects.
• Inform the public about upcoming work and coordinate with contractors to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain project records including daily quantities and reports.
• Review CPM schedules and assist with submittals and RFIs.
• Prepare daily site reports with labor, equipment, and quantities.
• Review applications for payment and recommend progress payments.
• Prepare final punch list and closeout review.
