Commonwealth Senior Living at South Boston is seeking a Resident Care Director to lead the resident care team and coordinate delivery of care in the community. The role reports to administration and emphasizes adherence to regulatory requirements and core company values.

The RCD will drive quality care, staff development, and engagement with families. The position requires nursing leadership experience, a focus on memory care and resident welfare, and availability for flexible hours including

Qualifications

• Two years of college in health care or human services required.
• Unencumbered RN or LPN license preferred.
• Minimum two years of elderly resident care experience or similar memory care experience.
• Minimum one year nursing management experience (hiring, coaching, scheduling).
• CPR and first aid certification.
• Willingness to train in state assessments and service plans.

Responsibilities

• Model a customer-focused approach to residents and families.
• Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, and other care providers.
• Ensure compliance with Federal/State policies governing resident care.
• Support administration in occupancy and referral development.
• Establish rapport with residents, families, staff, and regulatory personnel.
• Conduct routine resident care rounds per individualized care plans.
• Ensure annual or bi-annual assessments and updates to care plans.
• Retain residents per regulatory requirements by tracking quality data.
• Oversee budgeting related to staffing and resident care.
