Job summary

Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, CA, seeks a seasoned reservations leader reporting to the Director of Revenue Management. You will oversee pre-arrival guest journeys, coordinate with hotel departments, and manage day-to-day reservations operations to sustain a 5-star/5-diamond standard.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in department head roles within luxury resorts, strong guest service focus, and expertise with Opera PMS.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years previous proven department head experience in Front Office/Reservations Operations of a luxury resort.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of Opera Property Management System an asset.
• Strong guest service orientation and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Reservations department and ensures adequate coverage.
• Maintain and develop departmental standards to achieve a 5-star/5-diamond Reservations Department.
• Supervises, schedules, trains, coaches and counsels colleagues of department.
• Acts as main liaison between the Global Reservations Center and Fairmont Grand Del Mar.
• Assist with VIP/High level reservations and group housing as needed.
• Ensure rate accuracy and availability in Opera and update templates for guest communications.
