Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Senior Research Technician to join the De Plaen Laboratory at the Simpson Querrey Research Center in Chicago.

The role focuses on NEC mechanisms, preventive/therapeutic approaches, and embryonic macrophage-driven vascular development using mouse models and advanced imaging. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a scientific major or related field; 5+ years lab/bench experience or a master's/PhD plus relevant experience.
• Strong English communication and the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsabilités

• Act as a technical expert in a specialized lab field and optimize protocols for complex experiments.
• Review results and adjust protocols to meet project objectives.
• Oversee and manage lab databases ensuring data integrity and entry accuracy.
• Review and analyze data for publication and grant applications.
• Co-author scientific papers for presentation and publication.
• Assist in obtaining funding and managing lab budgets.
