Lurie Children’s Hospital is seeking a Research Technologist II for the Dr. Ma Lab in the Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center, Chicago. The role involves hands-on experimental work, molecular biology, and managing mouse colonies within a regulated lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in biological sciences with lab experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with diverse groups.
• Strong command of English and ability to communicate effectively.
• Proficient with a range of molecular biology techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support scientific research, analysis and experimentation by performing lab tasks.
• Perform molecular biology techniques including PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, immunostaining, Western blotting, cell culture, DNA cloning.
• Manage mouse colonies, ordering supplies and handle safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records, analyze data, prepare charts and graphs for presentations/publications.
