Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow in the De Plaen Lab to study blood vessels and lymphatics in the neonatal intestine during NEC.

The position is based at the Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center in Chicago and offers access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaborations with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Qualifications

• PhD or MD in Medical or Biological Science field.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide researchers with technical assistance.
• Perform genetic studies and molecular biology tasks.
• Analyze data and prepare results for presentations, grants and publications.
• Help write grant proposals and progress reports.
• Participate in lab meetings, journal clubs and seminars.
• Other duties as assigned.
