Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in the De Plaen Laboratory at the Simpson Querrey Research Center in Chicago.

The project studies blood vessels and lymphatics development in the neonatal intestine during NEC, using mouse models and advanced imaging. Ideal candidates are highly motivated scientists seeking to advance understanding of NEC mechanisms and to contribute to preventative and therapeutic strategies.

Qualifikationen

• PhD or MD in Medical or Biological Science.
• Knowledge of computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize under pressure.

Aufgaben

• Provide researchers with technical assistance.
• Perform functions aligned with innovation, academic excellence and teamwork.
• Genetic studies, molecular biology, Redcap/Imaging software, gene chip arrays and others.
• Analyzing data.
• Preparing data for presentations, grants and publications.
• Help write grant proposals and progress reports for research projects.
• Participate in lab meetings, journal clubs, and research seminars.
• Other duties as assigned.
