Job summary

Wonderlic is a remote-first company seeking a Senior Research Scientist to bridge I-O psychology and machine learning at scale. The role focuses on owning the Jobs Engine, improving job analysis insights, and expanding AI-driven capabilities across the platform.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and I-O teams to ensure defensible, high-impact outputs while supporting ethical AI practices and workforce insights for millions of users.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in I-O Psychology or closely related field
• Minimum 3 years of applied industry experience; 5+ years preferred
• Experience applying modern NLP methods to labor market data
• Experience at intersection of I-O science and algorithmic fairness
• Production-grade systems experience and shipping ML solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead the continued development of the Jobs Engine, ensuring outputs are scientifically defensible and scalable
• Advise product managers, engineers, and I-O psychologists on AI-powered system design and implementation
• Drive scientific rigor by applying adverse impact considerations, norm groups, and evaluation standards
