Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Senior Analyst-level candidate to advance epidemiologic and health policy research. The role emphasizes statistical programming, mentorship, and collaborating with investigators across multiple projects.

Remote-friendly arrangement with work conducted in alignment with US geographic pay zones. The position requires a strong foundation in quantitative methods and communication with diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in quantitative field (Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, etc.).
• Progressively more responsible statistical programming experience.
• At least 4 years professional experience with statistical software, SAS preferred (i.e., survival analysis).
• Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and analytical approaches for health care.
• Strong oral/written communication skills with sponsors and policy makers.
• Strong mentoring skills possibly including supervisory or teaching experience.
• Demonstrated Arbor Research project/contract expertise.
• Ability to run/lead subprojects with little to no intervention.
• Contributions to field of health services research, biostatistics, epidemiology via publications and reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Work with lead investigators to coordinate research development and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Contribute to design of analytical approaches for specific research questions.
• Adhere to strategies and tools to ensure accuracy, programming, and documentation standards.
• Write papers for journals and perform data analyses for funding sources and committees.
• Prepare medical and statistical papers and presentations supporting epidemiologic and health policy research.
• Assist authors with preparing tables and figures for manuscripts.
• Present results clearly in public forums to biostatisticians and clinicians.
• Attend committee meetings, calls, and national/international conferences.
• Contribute to writing and production of proposals for new projects.
• Develop SAS code for completing analyses and verify coding accuracy.
• Mentor junior analysts and help them contribute to project objectives.
• Lead analytic approaches in consultation with Principal Investigators.
• Demonstrate a desire to improve skills and knowledge.
• Demonstrate ability to work with external investigators.
