Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Research Analyst III to support federal client research, including microbiological and chemical contaminant analysis. The role involves laboratory work, sample handling, method development and data interpretation, with emphasis on molecular detection of viruses and microorganisms.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in biology (or related field) with significant experience and must obtain/maintain a Public Trust.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biology or related field with 3+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Experience conducting laboratory testing and analysis.
• Ability to document laboratory activities and support technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Support research and development activities, including lab and field work.
• Collect, prepare, process and analyze samples.
• Conduct laboratory testing and analyses for pathogens.
• Develop, validate and document methods for identification of pathogens.
• Prepare project reports and manuscripts for publication.
