Dana-Farber Cancer Institute seeks a Lead Research Administrator to manage complex research portfolios across laboratories in the Departments of Molecular and Cellular Oncology and Solid Tumors. Located in Boston, the role collaborates with the Department Administrator and Institute central offices to advance sponsored research and financial management.

The ideal candidate will oversee diverse funding sources, set strategy with Department Leadership, and lead special projects across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong Excel/Sheets and data analysis skills are essential for budgeting and reporting.
• Experience with NIH and other federal, state, and foundation regulations is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Grant Preparation (pre-award) including drafting non-scientific materials and coordinating proposals.
• Portfolio Management (post-award): financial management, reporting, and billing oversight.
• Procurement: approve purchase requests, verify funds, and review core/service bills.
• Human Resources: onboarding, salary offers, visa processes, and ongoing staffing administration.
• Compliance: ensure adherence to policies and regulations and guide researchers accordingly.
• Cores, Centers and Chargebacks: pricing development and monthly billing for internal and external customers.
