Qualifications

  • Demonstrated usage of R, SAS, or Stata for data analysis; R coding is preferred.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives or population health research is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and code quality measures and provide technical assistance for development and coding.
  • Review EHR data from clinical sites participating in quality improvement collaboratives.
  • Analyze data and create quantitative reports and visualizations with aggregated results.
  • Prepare technical reports, manuals, and presentation materials; present results to non-technical audiences.
  • Review work products from subcontractors and ensure data quality.
  • Conduct literature searches and reviews to inform analyses.
  • Assist with IRB applications and data governance requests.
  • Design and execute data linkage strategies across administrative datasets.
  • Work with dashboards and address data quality issues when needed.

The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Reporting and Analytics Senior Analyst position in the Population Health and Quality Improvement Analytics section.

Responsibilities
  • leads or assists with the development of and provides technical assistance for the development and coding of quality measures;
  • reviews Electronic Health Record (EHR) data received from clinical sites participating in quality improvement collaboratives;
  • analyzes data including developing quantitative reports and visualizations with aggregated results of quality or population health metrics;
  • composes technical reports, manuals, and presentation materials;
  • presents results in clear format to non-technical audiences;
  • reviews work products from subcontractors;
  • conducts literature searches and literature reviews;
  • assists with institutional review board (IRB) applications and other data governance requests;
  • designs and executes linkage strategies for connecting administrative datasets;
  • may also work with data dashboards and address data quality issues.
Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.

Additional Education Required

Required Qualifications: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 2 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a relevant field of study is required.

Additional Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated usage of R, SAS, or Stata for data analysis.
  • R coding experience is preferred.
  • Experience working on quality improvement initiatives or population health research, including developing clinical or population health quality measures.
  • Training in quality improvement science is preferred.
