Job summary

Kontron is seeking a Repair Technician 3 – Systems to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair returned Kontron products, including rackmount servers and industrial PCs. Operate with limited supervision and mentor junior technicians to meet ISO and department-quality standards.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Technical Support to resolve escalations, document failure analyses, and ensure fast, accurate system turnaround while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent technical/military training.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on system-level repair experience involving servers, industrial PCs, or modules.
• Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement principles is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair rackmount servers, medical systems, industrial PCs, and peripheral components.
• Accurately execute system-level upgrades and modifications using Product Work Instructions (PWI) and schematics.
• Follow Special Repair Instructions (SRI) and manage daily priorities through the scheduling tool (Velosity).
• Ensure repairs meet the standard 15-business-day turnaround metric.
