Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Business Development Analyst II to evaluate and execute investments in wind, solar, storage, and related technologies. You will join a lean, collaborative M&A team and gain exposure to the full deal lifecycle, from screening to diligence and execution.

You will build valuation models, partner with finance and operations, and develop executive-ready materials to support strategic decisions. A hybrid in-office policy applies, with domestic travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in renewable energy, power, finance, consulting, or related field with exposure to development or valuation.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear risk and value insights.
  • Experience with M&A, project development, or structured transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Support evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, partnerships, and development opportunities across wind, solar, battery storage, and emerging technologies.
  • Coordinate transaction workstreams with cross-functional teams across development, engineering, finance, legal, and commercial.
  • Build and analyze financial models, validate inputs, and assess valuation scenarios and key drivers.
  • Support due diligence by organizing data rooms, reviewing materials, tracking issues, and driving execution.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform pipeline and track deal flow.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations translating analysis into actionable investment insights.
  • Improve tools and dashboards; streamline processes and automate workflows to boost efficiency.
