Job summary

Swift Current Energy is seeking a Senior Manager Project Developer to lead development activities across wind, solar, and battery storage projects in the U.S. You will oversee site screening, feasibility, permitting, land acquisition, interconnection, and stakeholder engagement.

The role collaborates with Procurement, Pre-Construction, Project Execution and Finance teams, and mentors junior staff. The position may be based in Austin or work remotely within the continental U.S. Travel about 40%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience leading project development efforts for utility-scale wind, solar, and/or battery storage projects in the U.S.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in project development in renewable energy or power generation
• Hands-on expertise across battery storage, wind and solar project development activities
• Demonstrated success advancing multiple battery storage projects from conception to FNTP
• Bachelor’s degree is required and U.S. work authorization is necessary

Responsibilities

• Lead development across wind, solar, and battery storage projects in the U.S.
• Oversee site screening, feasibility assessment, and permitting
• Manage land acquisition including lease negotiations and owner contacts
• Lead interconnection and OFftake discussions with utilities and buyers
• Own the project development budget and reporting to senior management
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate cross-functional resources
