Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Project Manager to lead and execute work on the development, financing, and execution of power generation projects. This is a remote/virtual role open to candidates anywhere in the United States.

The role requires 15+ years in the power industry, ownership of engineering or consulting projects, and expertise across solar, storage, wind, and thermal technologies. A strong background in project finance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering with 15+ years in power.
• Experience managing teams of engineers.
• Experience with multiple power generation technologies (solar, battery storage, wind, thermal).
• Experience with project finance or financial modeling is a plus.
• Experience with project contracts such as PPAs, asset transfer, and EPC contracts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop consulting project execution plan to meet client’s needs.
• Review deliverables such as reports and studies.
• Lead project team by providing clear instruction including technical approaches.
• Manage hours and work performed to budget and scope.
• Develop staff expertise through training and mentoring.
• Prepare proposals for consulting project opportunities.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring a high quality standard.
• Travel occasionally to visit project locations and client offices.
