Job summary

Geronimo Power, a Brookfield-managed portfolio company, seeks a Project Development Lead in Casselton, ND to advance multiple renewable energy projects from origination to preconstruction. You will manage budgets, schedules, interconnections, land rights, permitting, and stakeholder engagement while coordinating with commercial and finance teams.

This senior IC role requires 5–8+ years in renewable energy project development, strong market knowledge, and experience with project financing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5-8+ years of project development experience in renewable energy or related industries.
• Experience delivering large-scale utility energy development projects or data centers.
• Knowledge of energy markets and project budgeting/scheduling.
• Willing to engage with landowners and stakeholders; contract management experience preferred.
• Exposure to project financing and understanding of project constraints.
• Experience with Procore and Microsoft Office Suite; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Advance 4-10+ early to mid-stage projects across multiple technologies in assigned regions.
• Lead cross-functional efforts in land, permitting, interconnection, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Develop financial models with commercial and finance teams; evaluate new technologies.
• Represent the company to officials, regulators, utilities, and other stakeholders.
• Manage external consultants, land agents, and land option/lease negotiations.
• Coordinate with Transmission and Permitting departments on interconnection and permits.
• Interface with engineering and construction to ensure deliverability and within budget.
• Travel ~40% of the time and update internal project data and schedules.
