Job summary

TotalEnergies is expanding its Integrated Power unit in North America, seeking a Senior Manager to lead origination, structuring, and closing offtake contracts for renewable projects. You will build client relationships, assess requirements, and translate them into revenue-generating transactions, including PPAs and VPPAs.

Office locations: Berkeley, CA or Houston, TX, with a strong cross-functional team and evolving strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related discipline.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in US origination, sales, power finance, or trading.
• Wind, Solar BESS power marketing experience required.
• Experience in structuring baseload renewable power contracts preferred.
• Demonstrated customer-focused, commercial management, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Lead the origination, structuring, negotiation, and closing of offtake agreements, including structured PPAs, VPPAs, physical supply contracts, and renewable energy/REC transactions, at optimal pricing and with the lowest risk profile.
• Secure offtake for solar and storage projects by contributing to and executing the origination and power marketing strategy in alignment with the business plan.
• Originate and manage PPAs for TTE-owned and third-party renewable energy producers, including short- and long-term agreements (PAP, structured, standalone, or embedded within physical supply contracts).
• Initiate, develop, and maintain bilateral relationships with corporate offtakers, utilities, and other large B2B customers.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, forums, and external client meetings.
• Review and evaluate RFPs, coordinate internal inputs, develop proposals, and support pricing activities.
• Gather and analyze data on customers, competitors, and market conditions; maintain CRM updates and report insights.
• Translate complex analyses into clear reports, tables, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development, legal, project finance, technical, and other internal teams throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Support preparation of materials for project finance, sell-down activities, and internal approvals.
• Ensure post-execution PPA obligations are met and handover to asset management while continuing relationship management.
