Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Manager, O&M to lead the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of renewable energy assets in the United States. The role oversees plant personnel, daily operations, maintenance, and event response for assigned assets, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements including NERC where applicable.

The position requires a 2- or 4-year college degree in a related field, 5+ years in O&M, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• A 2-year or 4-year college degree in Business or technical hard science from a US school is preferred
• Journeyman or master electrician license may substitute for 2 years of experience
• NABCEP Certification or Electrical License preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience in operations and/or maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems, including at least 2 years in renewables
• Minimum 2 years in a lead or supervisor position
• Experience managing facilities and personnel
• Understanding of substation equipment and maintenance requirements
• Knowledge of NERC requirements and power plant operations

Responsibilities

• Oversees plant operations to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency
• Manages plant maintenance and repairs, and preventive/predictive maintenance
• Monitors budgets, costs, and procurement for equipment and contractors
• Ensures staff safety training and cross-asset collaboration
• Provides operational analyses to support Asset Management and Project Development
• Stays current with industry regulations, codes and standards
• Represents the company to regulators and external stakeholders
