Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Manager, O&M to lead safe, reliable operation and maintenance across renewable assets in the United States. The role will supervise plant personnel, manage daily operations, preventive maintenance, and incident response in accordance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

You will coordinate budgets, procurement, and contractor activities while driving cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2-year or 4-year college degree in Business or technical hard science (Engineering, Physics, Power, or closely similar) from a US school preferred
• Journeyman or master electrician license may substitute for 2 years of experience
• NABCEP Certification or Electrical License preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience in operations/maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems with 2+ years in renewables
• Minimum 2 years in a lead or supervisor position
• Experience in managing facilities and personnel
• Knowledge of NERC as it applies to power plants and substation
• Experience with SCADA/DAS/CMMS systems
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Willing to travel to job sites

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant operations to ensure reliability, safety and efficiency
• Manage maintenance to support long-term profitability and plant reliability
• Prepare operating budgets and control costs within approved budgets
• Ensure staff complete required safety and functional training
• Provide technical analysis to support Asset Management and Project Development
• Develop relationships with suppliers for beneficial synergies
• Act as local liaison with owners and communities
