Job summary

Clean Energy Counsel, LLP is seeking a senior finance associate with extensive law firm experience in renewable energy financing. The role emphasizes debt and tax equity project financings, with a strong corporate foundation and leadership over transaction teams.

This is a fully remote position for attorneys licensed to practice in their state and committed to the firm’s mission. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of renewable energy experience, deep financing expertise, and a track record

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience at a law firm in renewable energy and related industries.
• Deep financing experience including debt financing (construction, perm debt, back-leverage, HoldCo, corporate), tax equity financing, and tax credit transfers.
• Ability to act as the senior lead attorney on complex financing transactions with minimal oversight.
• Strong organization, drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Team-focused with mentorship of junior attorneys.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote work environment.
• Admission to and in good standing with the Bar of the applicant’s state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead attorney on large, complex renewables financings; draft, review, revise, and negotiate term sheets and transaction documents.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other professionals on financing matters.
• Adhere to firm policies and priorities.
• Perform other duties as requested by firm management.
