Clean Energy Counsel, LLP is hiring a mid-level project development associate with substantial law firm experience in renewable energy. The role focuses on drafting and negotiating EPCs, O&Ms, PPAs, and related contracts.

This fully remote, distributed firm emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and a strong commitment to advancing clean energy. The ideal candidate brings 7–10 years of experience, excellent academic credentials, and a track record of managing complex deals.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years’ experience at a law firm, preferably renewable energy clients.
• Experience negotiating a variety of traditional renewable energy contracts (EPCs, O&M, PPAs).
• Strong deal management, drafting, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Team-focused with mentoring responsibilities for junior attorneys.
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
• Ability to work independently and with a team, in a remote setting.
• Admission to and in good standing with the Bar of the applicant’s state of residence.
• Commitment to the firm’s mission.

Responsabilités

• Support project development in the renewable energy field.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other professionals on project development matters.
• Adhere to firm policies and priorities.
• Perform duties as requested by firm management.
• Meet a 1,200 annual billable hour requirement, with hourly bonus for exceeding it.
• Base salary is $250,000+; final amount set during interview and may vary by experience and market.
