Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks a Senior Renewable Controls Specialist to lead technical work on renewable plant control systems in the Texas region. The role involves supporting SCADA, PLCs, and instrumentation, and guiding engineers and contractors on complex projects over a 6-month contract-to-hire.

The candidate will optimize control software, diagnose OPC communications, and contribute to maintenance, upgrades, and data history for reliable plant performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PLC programming experience.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs.
• Experience with SCADA and control instrumentation.
• Ability to lead engineers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for control system administration, patches, upgrades, and troubleshooting of renewable control systems and PLCs.
• Audit current programs to improve availability or reliability.
• Provide technical direction for troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance of plant control systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose OPC communication and control system issues and implement enhancements.
• Support planning, design and construction of project additions or maintenance of renewable control systems.
• Support remote equipment monitoring and data collection, maintain alarms and data history.
• Assist in control equipment maintenance, calibration and diagnosis.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and operational issues.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLCs.
• Demonstrate high level knowledge in controls and instrumentation.
