RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Sr Engineer II, Plant Controls in the Austin area to lead SCADA design and commissioning across utility-scale renewable projects. You will define requirements, select SCADA concepts, and guide implementation with third-party providers, while interfacing with Operations and Development teams.

You have 12+ years in control systems, strong networking, RTU configuration, and proven ability to produce technical documentation and exhibits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in electrical/controls engineering.
• 12+ years in control systems and SCADA platforms.
• Strong networking and RTU/configuration experience.
• Experience developing technical documentation and exhibits.
• Experience commissioning networking and plant controls.
• Renewables or power industry background desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead SCADA design, configuration, and commissioning across projects.
• Coordinate with project managers and SMEs to meet requirements.
• Develop and review project exhibitions, scope of works, and narratives.
• Define technical requirements from grid codes and contracts.
• Oversee vendor and contractor activities and documentation.
• Train junior engineers and align with broader teams.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.
