Job summary

Repsol seeks a Senior Control Center and SCADA Engineer in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model (3 days in the office, 2 from home). You will support OT, Operations & Maintenance, and collaborate across Engineering and Construction to deploy and support Repsol's North America Renewables network.

You will lead commissioning, maintain data and communications, and develop Industrial IoT solutions, including automation scripts and interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial SCADA, Control Center and OT systems.
• Verifiable experience in renewables.
• Proven expertise in software development, scripting, and data management (SQL, Python, JavaScript, VBA, Windows/Linux).
• Experience with industrial communication protocols and utility-scale SCADA integrations (OPC UA, Modbus, DNP3).
• Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud networking.
• VMware and OT environment integration.
• SCADA networks design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• SCADA certificates such as Ignition and Aveva preferred.
• Experience in renewable energy operations and substations.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of renewable energy facilities for the Control Center, including database integration and testing for grid compliance.
• Maintain data collection and communication systems supporting the Control Center and cloud platforms.
• Design and development of Industrial IoT solutions, including automation scripts and client-server interfaces.
• Develop technical specifications and standards for SCADA, communications, and control systems.
