Job summary

Repsol is seeking a ROCC Operator to monitor renewable generation assets 24/7 from the Houston control center. The role involves ensuring safe operations, coordinating with field teams, and communicating with RTO/ISO entities in accordance with NERC standards.

The position is based in Downtown Houston with a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends, and requires strong documented procedures and incident management skills.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree, military experience in a technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience operating SCADA/HMI interfaces.
• Experience with renewable generation (Wind, PV, BESS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time 24/7 control center operations to ensure safety and grid reliability.
• Troubleshoot, classify alarms, and escalate issues using SCADA/HMI systems.
• Coordinate with field personnel to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Notify scheduling coordinators and ISO/RTO operators during outages or derates.
• Create and maintain operating procedures and turnover documentation.
• Support emergency response procedures as per safety plans.
• Assist during construction and commissioning of new plants.
