Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Rendering Infrastructure team. You will build systems that turn a GPU-accelerated sensor simulator into a production platform, scalable across clusters and integrated with AV interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in performance-critical systems.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20) and Python tooling.

Responsibilities

• Connect the renderer to AV stacks and compute clusters with low-latency transport.
• Integrate the runtime with Gymnasium-style environments and PyTorch models.
• Ensure deterministic execution and reproducible runs across GPUs and clusters.
• Reproduce sensor scheduling and timing, including latency budgets and drops.
• Develop memory-efficient multi-world execution and asset delivery paths.
• Profile, optimize, and reduce startup time for large-scale simulations.
