General Motors seeks a senior engineer to architect large-scale simulation and evaluation pipelines for autonomous vehicle software validation. You will lead cross-functional efforts across Autonomy, Systems, Simulation, and Data teams to integrate testing into development workflows and drive reliable results.

The role emphasizes defining metrics, advancing simulation technologies, and communicating risk and tradeoffs to stakeholders while upholding high architectural standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in evaluation, simulation, or test frameworks.
• Proficient in Python for production systems, including unit testing and reliability best practices.
• Strong cross-team technical leadership and clear communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect large-scale test infrastructure and evaluation pipelines for AV software validation.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with Autonomy, Systems Engineering, Simulation, and Data teams.
• Invent novel methodologies and deliver implementations to quantify trustworthiness of simulation products at scale.
• Own and refine simulation evaluation metrics and KPIs, and present insights to stakeholders.
