Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Software Test Engineer for a remote, full-time role supporting the Veterans Affairs portfolio. Strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python and experience in both manual and automated testing are required. The position requires 10+ years in software testing, familiarity with SDLC, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, and test automation tools (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).

U.S. Citizenship and Public Trust clearance are required for this 100% United States remote

Qualifications

10+ years of total work experience
10+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure information systems and services meet standards and end-user requirements
Develop test plans, test schedule, and approach
Write test cases and scripts and identify data for test scenarios
Conduct reviews of test cases/scripts with Test Managers and Leads
Perform and lead tests and IT systems to ensure proper operation and defect-free release
Document and communicate test results
Support analysis of test results and resolution of issues
Create daily test metrics and reporting
Perform other IT systems engineering activities as needed
