Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison for the US to analyze, interpret, and disseminate scientific data to KOLs and HCPs, translating insights to advance medical strategy and improve patient outcomes. The role is field-based and external-facing, reporting to the Director, MSL, with extensive cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include building expert networks, supporting Takeda-sponsored research, attending medical conferences, and ensuring compliant communication.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred; Master’s degree required.
• Minimum 2 years field-based MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong ability to disseminate complex scientific data to healthcare audiences.
• Experience working in virtual and cross-functional teams; adherence to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans.
• Analyze and interpret complex scientific information and disseminate to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant, fair-balanced manner.
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and facilitate medically aligned studies and investigator-initiated research processes.
• Display advanced knowledge of therapeutic area topics and translate insights to inform strategies.
• Identify partnerships between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
• Participate in medical strategy at conferences and communicate insights.
• Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries within timelines and quality standards.
• Complete documentation, training, and administrative responsibilities timely and accurately.
